Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how StripArt (“the App”), developed by Philip Zvar (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles information when you use the iOS application. StripArt helps you create scroll animations from photos for LED strips.
1. Summary
- Photos are processed locally on your device.
- We do not operate servers that receive your photos or animations.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
2. Information the App accesses
2.1 Photos and camera
With your permission, StripArt accesses:
- Photo Library (read): to import photos you select for animation.
- Photo Library (write): to save exported GIF files you choose to save.
- Camera: to take photos directly in the App, if you choose that option.
All image processing (cropping, dithering, GIF creation) happens on your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos or exported GIFs to our servers.
2.2 On-device preferences
The App stores small preference values locally using iOS UserDefaults, including:
- Your last-used LED resolution settings.
- The number of free exports used.
- Whether the tips popup should be hidden.
This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.
2.3 Purchases
If you purchase “Unlock Unlimited Exports”, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your entitlement via Apple’s StoreKit framework but do not receive your payment card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment processing: apple.com/legal/privacy.
3. Information we do not collect
StripArt does not require an account and does not collect:
- Name, email address, or contact details (unless you email us voluntarily).
- Location data.
- Contacts, calendars, or other personal files.
- Device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking.
4. Third-party services
StripArt uses Apple system frameworks only (Photos, Camera, StoreKit, Photo Library). No third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services are integrated.
5. Data retention and deletion
Photos and GIFs remain under your control in your photo library. App preferences are stored on your device until you delete the App or reset your device. Deleting StripArt removes locally stored app preferences.
6. Children’s privacy
StripArt is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights (EEA / UK / GDPR)
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, most data subject requests relate to data on your device or held by Apple. You may:
- Revoke photo or camera access in iOS Settings → StripArt.
- Delete exported GIFs from your photo library at any time.
- Contact us with privacy questions at philip.zvar@gmail.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Belgium, this is the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / APD).
8. International users
StripArt is developed in Belgium. By using the App, you acknowledge that any communication you initiate with us (e.g. support email) may be processed in Belgium.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
